Rome Day 3: Old and new!

Rome can’t be beat for ancient history (Oh, fine….maybe a few other countries can claim some stuff too…) We toured Piazza Navona, the first sporting grounds in Rome – with our tour going from street level to below the square. Then the Trevi Fountain. Then the Pantheon. All so beautiful.

In the afternoon, we got to talk with 2016 Olympian Michele Benedetti, who will be diving for Italy. He took time out of his training for the Rio Olympics to come be with us. He discussed his training, battles with confidence, how he sees the Olympic experience – and even his love for Tom Izzo and Spartans Basketball!
